LADIES MINISTRIES

1) Ladies Bible Study:
About once a month the ladies of LBC will get together at the church for some snacks, or a brunch and will share together in a Bible study designed to strengthen their relationships with Jesus Christ. The ladies love spending time together and the fellowship is as beneficial as the Bible teaching.

2) Moms & Tot’s Parenting Bible Study for young mothers:
If you’ve experienced the stress of not sleeping through the night, of wiping someone else’s nose over 20 times a day, and picking up after messes you didn’t know were possible, then you know what it is to be a mother. This Bible study is designed to give our mothers a place to come and let their toddlers run free (in the nursery) and have some fun, fellowship, and Bible teaching together.

3) Secret Sisters:
Our secret sisters ministry involves picking a sister to pray for, encourage, and shower with the occasional small gift - only in secret! NAmes are drawn biannually at a banquet, and other fun get togethers are held throughout the year. It is always encouraging to have another lady praying for you and encouraging you in your walk with God, even if she doesn’t sign her name on the card.

4) Annual WCBF Ladies Retreat:
Each year, the Western Canada Baptist Fellowship pastor’s wives will arrange to bring in a female guest speaker with years of ministry experience counselling women in women’s issues. These retreats are always a huge blessing to the ladies who attend. God’s Word has much to say about how a woman should walk through this life. There is much in our culture around us that is countering the teaching of the Bible and it is always helpful and refreshing as a Christian to be reminded of God’s will.
